Is Prolific Payment Solutions (PPS) a bank?
No, we are not a bank; we are a financial institute that offers a vast array of services to business owners and nonprofit organizations. PPS is a member of both Visa® USA and MasterCard® International card associations, and is also registered to setup merchants with American Express, Discover and any other major forms of payment.

What makes Prolific Payment Solutions different then its competition?

  2. Another reason to accept credit cards is because it is quickly becoming the preferred method of payment. The payment industry is shifting; cash and checks are becoming less and less popular every year. It is estimated that over 60% of Americans use credit cards on an everyday basis and that this number is expected to grow. These individuals rarely carry cash or checks. This means that if your business does not offer credit cards as a form of payment, the customer will simply choose to go to someone who does.
  3. Accepting credit cards also results in faster customer service, no loss of sales due to lack of cash, and can also save the merchant time since making trips to the bank to make daily deposits are no longer needed because funds are transferred electronically to your bank.

How much will it cost me to get setup to accept credit cards or other services offered by Prolific?
With Prolific, the cost is minimal. We never charge an application fee for both new and existing businesses. There are no setup fees; no reprogramming fees, no hidden costs, and we offer the best pricing on all equipment. In other words it is minimal to none.

Who does Prolific Payment Solutions service and are there any exceptions?
Whether brick and mortar, catalog, or online, we will be able to service your business. The only exception as to who we will not service is the gaming and adult industry. Prolific prides itself on being a family focused company.

How long does it take once my application has been received and approved to get everything installed and operational?
Once the application is received, setup time for our merchants to be fully operational is typically 1-3 days. Prolific also has a 99% approval rate even for those customers who have little to no credit history.

Can I use my PC to process transactions instead of a terminal?
Yes. We offer multiple PC software solutions. In other words you can use your computer or laptop in place of a credit card terminal. Many of our clients have even subscribed to our Virtual Terminal and can now accept credit cards anywhere in the world as long as they have Internet access. Does Prolific Payment Solutions ever sell my private and confidential information to other companies?
Prolific is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that any information that is trusted into our care is held confidential. Privacy is valuable to us and your personal information will only be used to process your application. Your personal information will never be sold, traded, or rented to anyone.

Why is my social security number required to process my application?
As a result of the events of September 11, 2001, the Federal government passed the USA PATRIOT Act of 2001 (the "Patriot Act") to help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities. The Patriot Act requires all financial institutions (including Prolific Payment Solutions, LLC) to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person with which they establish a customer relationship. What this means: If you enter into a new customer relationship with Prolific Payment Solutions, LLC, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth (as applicable), and other identification information (including information about the owners of the business, such as a Social Security number and residential address). In certain circumstances, the Patriot Act or our policies may require Prolific Payment Solutions, LLC to ask for documentation or information beyond that requested on your initial application. If all requested documentation or information is not provided, Prolific Payment Solutions, LLC may be unable to open an account or establish a customer relationship with you.

The purpose of this law is to help protect you, your family, and our country from terrorism by preventing terrorist financing. This information will be used by Prolific Payment Solutions to verify your identity and satisfy the requirements of Federal law. Confidentiality of the information gathered by Prolific Payment Solutions will be maintained as required under applicable Federal and state privacy laws
